Mimimi Games was founded in 2008 and operated as an independent studio in Munich, Germany until 2023. The studio specialized in real-time tactics and stealth-strategy games, building a reputation for titles including Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, Desperados III, and Shadow Tactics: Aiko's Choice. The studio's final game, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, was self-published and released in 2023. Following its release, the studio announced it would be ramping down operations, citing the personal toll of managing increasingly ambitious multi-year production cycles and unsustainable financial pressures in the stealth-strategy genre.
