Six to Start

Zombies, Run! is a fitness game co-created by writer Naomi Alderman and Six to Start. The app integrates running, jogging, or walking with interactive storytelling, where players hear narrative content and music through headphones while exercising outdoors, indoors, or on treadmills. The game features customizable enemy chases that encourage increased pace, supply collection mechanics, and base-building gameplay. Players can access over 500 missions across multiple story seasons, plus additional adventure content through the Venture series featuring sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and comedy narratives. The game serves a broad fitness audience from casual walkers to ultra-marathon runners and has been downloaded over 10 million times. In November 2025, Naomi Alderman acquired ownership of the game and its sister title The Walk.
