Snowcastle was established in 2009 and debuted with Hogworld in 2011. The studio spent five years creating Earthlock, an adventure RPG that launched following a successful Kickstarter initiative. This title became available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms, accumulating more than 8 million downloads. In 2023, the team released Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure, a cozy multiplayer adventure game. The studio operates from its Oslo headquarters with additional remote staff distributed across Europe, totaling 15+ team members. Current projects in development include Lysward, a single-player survival adventure, and Earthlock 2.
